Arrau, Claudio

Claudio Arrau (1903-1991), Chilean pianist, studied at the Stern's Conservatory in Berlin, later taught there 1924-40, formal debut in 1914 in Berlin and Carnegie Hall debut in 1923, won Ibach Prize in 1917; first prize, Concours Geneve, 1927; world tours during 1968 and 1974-75.
